The F.I.A.D. Company was born in 2006 from Mauro Mandia’s experience in international trade and the management consulting skills of Elisabetta Benesatto, his wife, in order to create a project entirely dedicated to the passion for good food.
Thus the product brand “Mandia Italian food” was born.
It is interesting to know that Mandia is also the name of a small village in Cilento, a wonderful land in Campania, the place where the Mediterranean Diet was born thanks to Ancel Keys in 1945. Therefore, the Mandia brand is in charge of bringing the high quality of Italian gastronomic tradition to the world.
F.I.A.D. immediately became known for the efficiency and high quality of the products on its catalog. Growing constantly, it achieved the “Indusria Felix – Italy that competes” award in 2021. Organized by Felix Magazine, a supplement of “Il Sole 24 ore,” the award analyzes, in collaboration with Cerved, the most important rating agency in Italy by number of files processed, management performance and financial reliability with the aim of building a virtuous community that enhances social welfare by networking companies with each other, universities, institutions and qualified partners.
MANDIA CIBO ITALIANO
It was born with the production and distribution of desserts of the Italian pastry tradition, frozen and sold to large U.S. retail chains.
With the demand shrinking as a result of the great economic crisis that exploded in the United States, careful market research aimed at diversifying the supply, identified a product that was not in the supermarkets yet, but had a great potential: the traditional Neapolitan pizza.
From 2011, therefore, the desserts were joined by the pizza, using top-quality ingredients, processed in an artisanal and traditional way and frozen using the most innovative techniques for a medium-to-high consumer target in the evolved markets of large-scale retail and catering.
This reorganization generated, in 2012, the birth of the brand MANDIA CIBO ITALIANO with which the marketing of pizza in the USA began.
In 2013, commercial development in Africa and China was launched.
In 2014 the sales network in the U.S. was created with the start-up of a new production plant, and in 2015 a U.S. logistics network was created with new customers for sales from local warehouses. It was during the same year that the new MANDIA GOLD pizza line was launched.
In 2016 the new Mandia dessert line arrived in USA and in Japan.
In 2017 BRC-IFS Quality Certification was obtained and a business development in Taiwan began.
